These two pictures are connected. They may not look connected, but they are. To make it clear, I am not belittling the tragedy of the deaths of the children and teachers at Sandy Elementary. It's a tragedy that could have been prevented. And that the thing. Those deaths could have never happened. The gunman was apparently mentally ill, so much that they killed their mother and then the children and teachers at the school. Someone could have notice that they were unstable when they purchased the gun and took it away from them. Someone could have helped them with their mental issues. It could have all been prevented by someone.
I'm not saying that now no one is doing anything about this. They are looking over the qualifications if purposing a fire arms and people every where are being aware of this tragedy and are reflecting what they can do to prevent from something like it from happening again
It's terrible what happen to those children who died. They were young and so much to look forward to in the future. But what about the children in developing countries  The same number of children die everyday in third world counties of preventable diseases such as malnutrition  diarrhea, malaria, etc.
That's the thing. It preventable. All of these things are preventable.
When we morn about the children that were killed by something that could have prevented form happening, why don't we morn about the children that die everyday in countries that don't have their basic needs that could help prevent them from dying from preventable things.
